How to Calculate Room Wallpaper Supplies
Take an area example of 4m x 4m room with a wall height ( floor to ceiling ) as high as 3.5 m. And wallpaper we needed is 10 mx 0.50 m.
The area of wall = (( length wall + width wall ) x 2) x height space
= (( 4m 4m ) x 2) x 3.5 m
= ( 8m x 2) x 3.5 m
= 16 m x 3.5 m = 56 m2.
The area of a roll wallpaper
= Length x width wallpaper
= 10m x 0.50 m
= 5 m2.
Materials Needed
= Area of wall area / wide area of one roll
= 56 m2 / 5 m2
= 11 , 20 rounded to 12 rolls
So , the amount of wallpaper needed as many as 12 rolls. But , to avoid shortages during installation due to the cuts , you should prepare 10 percent of the existing volume.
= 12 + ( 12 x 10 % ) = 12 + 1.2 = 13.2 rounded to 14 rolls.
By preparing a 14 rolls , then you dont have to worry of material , or if something goes wrong installation.
